The Improvement Attempt of Naturalist Intelligences for 5-6 Years Old Children by Taking Care of Plants

Each child has more than one type of intelligence, and one of the them is naturalist intelligence which can be developed by taking care of plants based on the theory from Thomas Amstrong about Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom. This study aims to find out whether the activity of taking care of plants could improve the children’s naturalist intelligence by using the action research with Kemmis-Mc.Taggart model. The data used from observation, field notes, interviews and documentation. The result of this study after the intervention, Action Cycle 1 and 2. It reached 84,69 % which already exceeds the target 71 % and thus concludes our research successfully and the action cycle can be stopped. The conclution of this study is the naturalist intelligence of 5-6 years old children could be improved by takingcare of plant.
