Abstract

Bacground The tabligh akbar event at Pesantren Al Fattah Cileungsi involved thousands of participants from various cities, many of whom traveled long distances. Such conditions increase health risks, including fatigue, infectious diseases, and the recurrence of chronic illnesses. Health is one of the fundamental aspects in improving the quality of life and productivity of society. The limited availability of healthcare personnel to serve a large number of attendees highlights the urgent need for accessible and responsive health services. Therefore, a free healthcare program combined with individual health education was implemented as a form of community service. This activity aimed to provide basic medical services while raising participants’ awareness regarding disease prevention, health management during long journeys, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Health examinations revealed that skin diseases were the most common complaint (10.46%), followed by allergies (9.01%), uric acid (8.72%), and fatigue (8.72%). Meanwhile, influenza was the least reported complaint (3.77%). Notably, 25.87% of participants had no health complaints, although some opted for cupping therapy as an alternative treatment. These findings emphasize the need for integrating medical services with individual health education during large-scale religious gatherings. Recommended strategies include providing adequate health posts, increasing healthcare personnel, and offering continuous education to maintain participants’ health. This program may serve as a model for integrating medical services, health education, and religious development.
